• Is Scripture Live App a ProPresenter or EasyWorship alternative?

  Yes. Scripture Live App is a Ghana-built alternative to ProPresenter and EasyWorship, priced in cedis from GH₵200/month and built around real-time scripture detection — the projector responds to the sermon automatically instead of waiting on an operator. Worship lyrics, OBS scripture overlay, and Twi/KJV/NIV translations are included.

• Will it work with my projector and old church laptop?

  Yes. Scripture Live App runs on Windows 10+, macOS 11+, and Linux, and is light enough for a 5-year-old laptop. Your projector plugs in over HDMI as a second display — no proprietary box, no special hardware, no setup gymnastics.

• Does the free offline mode use my data bundle?

  No. Once installed, offline mode uses zero data — no cloud calls, no telemetry. KJV and Twi Bibles, reference search, custom slides, the projector window and the OBS browser source all run on your machine. Your bundle is safe, even mid-service. Only sign-in, activation, and live sermon detection (the AI layer) need internet.

• Does it understand Ghanaian-accented English and Twi pronunciation?

  Yes. The detection engine has been trained against real Ghanaian sermons, so common pronunciations (Hosiah → Hosea, Donut → Jonah, Number → Numbers, Obadayah → Obadiah) resolve correctly. The system also runs three layers in parallel — pattern matching, on-device semantic search, and cloud AI — so even when one layer mishears a word, another usually catches it.

• Do I need internet to use Scripture Live App?

  Only for live sermon detection. The free offline mode — reference search, custom slides, projector window, OBS browser source, KJV and Twi Bibles — runs fully offline with no subscription required. Sign in when you are ready for live detection: the AI sermon-listening layer that pushes verses to the screen automatically.

• How do I unlock live sermon detection later?

  Click "Sign in to unlock live detection" in the app's top-right. Sign in with email or Google, then activate your license key (or subscribe at scripturelive.app/pricing). The app switches to Full mode without restarting. Sign out from Settings → Account to drop back to offline — anything you authored, like slides and themes, is preserved either way.

• What are custom slides?

  Slides let you project anything that is not a Bible verse — sermon notes, prayer points, offering details, announcements, welcome screens. Type a slide (title and body, line breaks preserved) or drop in an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF up to 10 MB) and pick Fit, Fill, or Stretch for cropping. Double-click to display, then search a verse to swap back. Available in both the free and paid tiers, stored locally on your computer.

• Will my slides and lyrics share the same OBS scene?

  No. Slides override scripture only — they share the localhost:5544 browser source. Worship lyrics broadcast on a separate localhost:5545 source, so you can preach over a slide while the band keeps lyrics on the streamed broadcast. Two independent feeds, no conflicts.

• Can it handle worship lyrics too?

  Yes. Worship Lyrics Mode is a second workspace inside the same app — toggle from sermon detection to a song catalog with one click. Build your library locally, search instantly, take songs live, and edit slides on the fly. Scripture and lyrics broadcast on independent OBS feeds (one per content type) so your Sermon and Worship scenes switch without touching the desktop app.

• What Bible translations are supported?

  14 translations ship by default — including Twi, Ewe and Ga for Ghanaian congregations, plus KJV, NIV, ESV, NLT, NKJV, AMP, NASB, MSG, ASV, BSB, NET, RSV, and TPT. Switch between them instantly, and we add new translations based on church requests.

• Can I use it with OBS Studio or vMix?

  Yes. Scripture Live App ships an OBS scripture overlay (and vMix-compatible browser source) on a local port that drops straight into OBS, vMix, or any modern production tool. No plugin install required.

• How does the AI detection work?

  Three layers run in parallel: pattern matching catches exact chapter:verse mentions, on-device semantic search matches paraphrased quotes, and our in-house AI engine reviews ambiguous cases. Together they catch both direct citations and loose preaching references.

• What happens when I run out of cloud hours?

  Your app keeps working. Direct scripture references (like "John 3:16") and exact quotes are detected instantly using local AI — unlimited, no hours consumed. Only the cloud-based paraphrase detection pauses when hours are exhausted. You can buy extra hours anytime from your dashboard, or they reset at the start of your next billing period.

• What happens if the AI detects the wrong verse?

  Nothing goes live without a click. The operator sees every detection in a suggestions panel and presses Display only when the verse is right — so a bad guess never reaches the projector.

• Can multiple people use the same license?

  Starter activates on 1 computer, Team on 3, and Church on 6 — enough for most production, rehearsal, and backup setups. You can deactivate old machines from your dashboard at any time.

• Can someone control the worship lyrics from the stage?

  Yes. Pair a tablet or phone over WiFi using a rolling 6-digit PIN, and the worship pastor can advance verses, choruses, and bridges without coming back to the booth. The remote is locked to lyrics-only actions — switch projector theme, add or remove songs — so it can't accidentally affect sermon detection or settings. Starter pairs 1 device, Team pairs 3, Church is unlimited.

• How do I cancel my subscription?

  One click in your dashboard. You keep full access through the end of your current billing period, and nothing further is charged. No phone call, no retention pitch.

• Is my sermon audio recorded or stored?

  No. Audio is processed locally on your machine, frame by frame, and discarded immediately. We never upload, store, or analyze the sermon recording.
